About Douglas G. Jackson

Douglas G. Jackson is an accomplished attorney, civic leader, community advocate, and author based in St. Petersburg, Florida. As founder of The Law Firm of Douglas G. Jackson, P.A., he has devoted his career to helping individuals and families navigate crisis, rebuild stability, and pursue long-term growth. He serves, or has served, on the Board of Directors for the EDGE Business District Association, including as both Vice President and President. He is also an active member and Member of the Board Director of the St. Petersburg Bar Association. His leadership and dedication to the profession were recognized when he received the Rockin' Chair of the Year Award for the Law Practice Management Section. The award is presented annually to the Section Chair who most significantly advances the mission, standards, and service of the Section.

Beyond his professional affiliations, Jackson has been deeply engaged with civic and community leadership through the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce. He serves on the Chamber’s Board of Directors, served as Chair of the Ambassadors Council, and was honored as the Chamber’s 2024 Member of the Year in recognition of his contributions to community outreach, business advocacy, and civic engagement.

Through his law firm and community platforms, Jackson has consistently worked to give back to St. Petersburg. Among his civic initiatives:

• A monthly beach cleanup program held the first Saturday of every month. This community-impact effort has attracted media attention, and Jackson was interviewed regarding the project. The initiative is part of the firm’s mission to help create Community Leaders by giving back to the community.

• The Business Education Network (BEN) Workshop, a monthly professional-development and networking series hosted by his firm. The workshop is frequently described a short conference, which brings together business owners, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to learn, connect, and grow.

• Lattes with a Lawyer, a quarterly forum hosted by his firm. The program features panels discussing the most relevant civic, legal, and business-development issues facing St. Petersburg and encourages dialogue, collaboration, and informed community action.

Jackson regularly speaks before audiences of more than one hundred individuals, serves as a moderator or emcee at civic and business events, and participates on panels that explore topics such as civic unity, political common ground, leadership, community development, and public policy.
